Selective Justice?

There is no doubt in my mind that officers in Chicago ["Killed by a Cop Car" by Tori Marlan, June 8] have a license to kill. In Chicago Daley stands by his cops and it makes me, a longtime Chicago resident, wonder whose side he's on anyway?

How long are we as residents in Chicago going to take it? I wonder if the reaction would have been different if the victim's color was of a lighter shade?

Ashamed to be a Chicago resident
