Two programs of short films produced under the motion picture unit of the Marshall Plan. The first program, “Out of the Ruins” (110 min.), stresses urban devastation and rebuilding, with films about the Berlin airlift, the relocation of Italian cave dwellers, and the rehabilitation of Rotterdam (Houen 20, a prizewinner at the Cannes film festival). The second, “Help Is on the Way” (102 min.), is organized around the themes of productivity and enterprise and includes Rice and Bulls, a documentary about France's Camargue cowboys made by Hollywood director Wesley Ruggles.
