Sharing the Stories Film Festival, program one

A daylong free screening of HBO-produced films, presented in honor of Black History Month. Alfre Woodard and Laurence Fishburne star in Miss Evers' Boys (1997, 118 min.), based on David Feldshuh's play about a black nurse caught up in the infamous Tuskegee study; Joseph Sargent directed. Ving Rhames plays the title role in Don King: Only in America (1997, 118 min.), a biography by John Herzfeld. Directed by Eriq La Salle, Rebound: The Legend of Earl “the Goat” Manigault (1996, 120 min.) stars Don Cheadle as New York basketball legend Earl Manigault. And in Reggie Rock Bythewood's Dancing in September (2000, 107 min.) Nicole Ari Parker plays an idealistic writer trying to succeed as a TV producer.
