To the editors:

Florence Hamlish Levinsohn's "Progress Report" [November 8] about the Stockton School LSC was interesting and informative. I was heartened to see the progressive strides our community is trying to make to educate our children.

However, I would like to clarify Ms. Levinsohn's implication that The Dover Street Neighbors or "regulars" are solidly lined up against Alderman Helen Shiller's wise and sensitive leadership. In fact, last spring my precinct (representing the 4500 and 4600 blocks of Dover Street) voted--by a substantial margin--for Helen Shiller.
