How do you tell jokes without words? The five members of SBD offer several unique answers in this sketch revue. Some ideas aren't well developed or executed, and many bits are too sweet. But the cast showcase their physical comedy chops and effectively incorporate music and bodily sounds. A woman strums a man-guitar, two guys beatbox for a stripper, a doctor delicately performs surgery in a live version of the Operation board game, and--in three bits involving creative prop work--sock puppets reenact famous movie and TV scenes. Ryan McDermott makes any show better, and director Harrison Pak capitalizes on his uninhibitedness, particularly in a scene with armless lovers drinking wine at a picnic. --Ryan Hubbard
