This annual festival of solo performance, now in its fourth year, features more than 20 pieces by local, national, and international artists. It runs through 8/28 at the Breadline Theatre, 1802 W. Berenice, and Theatre Building Chicago, 1225 W. Belmont. Tickets are $20 per show; $12 for students. Help Wanted: A Personal Search for Meaningful Employment at the Start of the 21st Century and Puppy Love: A Stripper's Tail

A visitor from Washington, D.C., Josh Lefkowitz recounts his "quest for professional liberty and personal happiness" in Help Wanted. In Puppy Love, Erin Markey "turns and teaches tricks to, for, and with her audience," instructing them in time-tested techniques of housebreaking and home wrecking. Breadline, 8 PM.
