Sleep Weep (The Zookeeper)

James Fotopoulos's indie feature draws on a variety of aggressive images—sexually explicit drawings, white type zooming toward the viewer from a bright red background, graphic footage of terrorist beheadings—to illustrate the horror and rage of a zookeeper after his wife has been raped and murdered. It's an arresting experience, but whatever point Fotopoulos is trying to make hardly justifies his use of the execution video.
