Sor Juana Festival Recommended Agenda Closing (Theater and Galleries)

When: Fri., Sept. 11 2015

Named after the 17th-century Mexican poet and philosopher Juana Inés de la Cruz, this annual celebration of women in the arts features a diverse array of events scattered across town and across several months: highlights include readings by Sandra Cisneros, a concert by La Santa Cecilia, and workshops with Ballet Folklórico de México de Amalia Hernández. Most stuff is free, though a few performances require ticket purchases; see website for details and a full schedule.
