When: Fri., May 7, 6 p.m. 2010
This month the MCA hosts an exhibition by Steve Krakow (aka Plastic Crimewave) based on The Secret History of Chicago Music, his edu-taining comic about “pivotal Chicago musicians that somehow have not gotten their just dues,” which runs biweekly in the Reader. It runs through 5/30 and includes performances by Ono (5/11), Bil Vermette (5/15), Phil Cohran (5/18), and Chet Nichols (5/25), who’ve all been subjects of the comic. Tuesday performances in Puck’s Cafe are free; Saturday shows in the gallery are included in museum admission. Krakow gives an artist talk before Ono plays on 5/11. Tonight’s opening reception is part of First Friday at the MCA.
