Paramount Pictures this week announced the next in its blockbuster series of "Star Trek" motion pictures.

The new flick, "Star Trek: Aberrations," features a cast that fans will find familiar, yet bizarre, studio officials said.

While the new movie will have some connection with the previous movies-including "The Voyage Home Rule" and "The Wrath of Farrakhan"-studio officials said that "Aberrations" marks a sig-nificant departure from past plot lines.

"We're spending an obscene amount of money ..."

Stars of "Star Trek: Aberrations," from left to right: Captain Ricard: In command of the Enterprise Zone. Commander Orrker: Has everyone guessing whether he wants to be captain. Pata: Many think he's almost human. "G": An annoying but harmless nemesis of the captain. The Pierogi: A race known for its greed and doughy physique. Engineer La Bido: Special vision lets him see the beauty of youth.
