Tally Brown, New York

Documentary on the life, career, and assorted demimonde outrages of Tally Brown, one of the stars of the New York 60s underground circuit, who reemerged briefly in the punk-strewn late 70s to find, alas, that the subcultural cutting edge had passed her by. An oblique commentary on avant-garde aging and oblivion by Berlin undergrounder Rosa von Praunheim, ironic chronicler and celebrant of life's marginalia, and him/herself no stranger to the occupational hazards of trendiness (1978).
