While the Taste of Randolph Street undoubtedly prides itself on its selection of cuisine from the West Loop—it’s right there in the name, after all—the annual festival has always represented a big-name lineup of live music too. Nosh from Publican Quality Meats, BellyQ, La Sirena Clandestina, and others is paired with playful indie pop, thumping EDM, and nostalgic 90s rock on three stages over three days. Taking place on the stretch of Randolph between Peoria and Racine, the fest is headlined by two huge alt-rock icons: Dinosaur Jr. and their blaring loudness headline Friday and the psych-touched Dandy Warhols take on Saturday. Dreamy California pop band Best Coast headlines Sunday, while a bunch of summery indie-everything acts are peppered throughout the weekend, like Bright Light Social Hour, Tennis, Hey Rosetta!, and the New Mastersounds. Hosted by the Mid, the DJ/dance stage remains loyal to the bass, believe it or not, and features names like Zebo, Lou Dooben, Altered Tapes, and Edamame. —Luca Cimarusti
