Teach What You Know

I'd like to know if Mr. [Greg] Christian approached the Dietetic Internship Program at Loyola University, the University of Illinois at Chicago Department of Nutrition, or the Benedictine University Dietetic Program about having their student dietitians teach the nutrition classes instead of the nursing students ["What's Wrong With School Lunch?" May 25]. Dietitians would never try to assume the role of a nurse. For example, teach how to change a wound dressing or hang an IV. Therefore, nursing students should teach in their area of expertise and student dietitians teach in their area of expertise.
