In your description of my play [I Am Who I Am: The Teddy Pendergrass Story at Black Ensemble Theater, Fall Arts Preview, September 7, and at chicagoreader.com] you have described Mr. Pendergrass as "the late soul star." Let me inform you that Teddy Pendergrass is very much ALIVE. Mr. Pendergrass is a very astute businessman, still singing and touring occasionally. He is Alive and Well and lives in Pennsylvania. It is an insult to our community and to Mr. Pendergrass--please take care of this error and correct it immediately.
