To the editors:

I found John Conroy's piece, "House of Screams," in the January 26th edition of the Reader most informative and compelling. I thank you for it because, terrible though it is to read, Chicagoans must know how and where police brutality exists, and the careful detail supplied here gives us the kind of information we need as concerned citizens. I hope that many have read it.

There is so little investigative reporting being done these days, that when it appears as it does in the Reader, we appreciate it.

Thanks, and keep it up!
