The 48-Hour Free Store

Ausgang Studios

1958 W. Walnut

If you've ever had the urge to rifle through a stranger's old sweaters in the middle of the night, you'll get your chance this weekend. Ausgang Studios, the Wicker Park artists' space, is hosting a free store that will remain open for 48 hours straight starting at 6 PM on Friday. Bring anything you want, take anything you like, and spend absolutely nothing. Movies will be playing both nights until dawn, and Saturday afternoon and evening there will be readings, shopping-cart races, a cookout, and surprise events. --Megan Roberts
