High-living bachelor and occasional porno actor Ryan Reynolds and his longtime best friend, a straight-arrow husband and lawyer played by Jason Bateman, stumble across a wish-granting statue and end up swapping bodies, to frequently lewd, sometimes amusing, but rarely surprising effect. Though advertisers are trying to sell this as a comedy dream team of sorts, with the writers of The Hangover (Jon Lucas and Scott Moore) joining forces with the director of Wedding Crashers (David Dobkin), the real summit meeting here may be between the two leads. They're good at their specialties—Reynolds's casual jock studliness and Bateman's nervous white-collar introversion—and they're even better at switching into the other guy's shtick and mannerisms. With Leslie Mann, Olivia Wilde, and Alan Arkin.
