Remy Bumppo presents a Charles Dickens holiday tale that is not A Christmas Carol. Artistic director Nick Sandys adapted and performs all the roles in this story about Toby "Trotty" Veck, a poor elderly messenger or "ticket-porter" who is depressed by his own circumstances and what he sees as the rampant crime and immorality of the larger world. As in the more-famous Dickens work, this 1844 tale involves spectral visitors in the form of goblins, this time on New Year's Eve.
