Restaurant Details

The dressed-up bar food and craft drinks at this 60s-style cocktail bar and lounge amid the strip malls on Clybourn might blow Guy Fieri's mind. A jerk-spiced burger? Bratwurst made in-house? He'd have a coronary, and I might have too if I'd finished my halves of the fish-and-chips and mac 'n' cheese with duck confit—but apart from the dishes' heaviness there's no comparison with diners, drive-ins, or dives. The food wasn't bad at all, especially the hearty pucks of fried scallops that made up the "fish," while the beer list and punched-up vintage cocktails were pretty great for Lincoln Park—a sweetly sultry manhattan won me over.
