The Ear

Suppressed shortly after it was made but reappearing in 1991 at the Cannes film festival, this 1970 Czech feature by Karel Kachyna, coauthored by the late Jan Prochazka, is a “paranoid” suspense film about a high-level government official (Radoslav Brzobohaty) and his wife (Jirina Bohdalova) who discover their house is bugged and that he faces imminent arrest.
