Curious Georgists go the Movies present The End of Poverty?, a feature-length documentary which explains how today's financial crisis is a direct consequence of unchallenged policies that have lasted centuries. The film also shows how colonial policies of the past stunted the economic development of the developing world, while modern "aid" often benefits multi-national corporations more than the supposed target populations. Fundamental economic changes are needed--but what changes? Narrated by Martin Sheen, this film features Nobel laureate economist Joseph Stiglitz, author John Perkins ("Confessions of an Economic Hit Man") and others.
