The Glamorous Life of Sachiko Hanai

Theoretically, there's no reason why a sex film can't be made with panache, wit, or attitude, although the generic requirement of stopping the story every few minutes for some vigorous coupling does pose challenges. Japan's soft-core porn industry has launched several filmmakers who later went more mainstream, and hints of that can be seen in this 2005 “pink film” by Meike Mitsuru. The so-called director's cut of his earlier Horny Home Tutor: Teacher's Love Juice, the movie follows a nubile call girl (Emi Kuroda) turned genius after a hit man's bullet lodges in her brain. A flimsy plot about Korean spies leads to a climactic sight gag involving an enhanced version of George W. Bush's forefinger, but it's all window dressing for the main attraction: lots of bouncing T & A (but no visible genitalia). In Japanese with subtitles; no one under 18 admitted. 90 min.
