The Great Caruso

Beefy, thuggish Mario Lanza, in one of MGM's desperate attempts to find vehicles for this inexplicably popular opera singer (haunted by a weight problem, he was finished as a star just four years later). The director, Richard Thorpe, did some interesting films, but this isn't one of them. With Ann Blyth (1951).
