Lyric Opera debuts a new streaming concert, with music direction by David Chase (vet of several Lyric musical productions, including My Fair Lady, Carousel, and The King and I). The focus is on songs both new and old from the Broadway canon, and the cast includes both vets of the Great White Way (Gavin Creel from Hello Dolly! and The Book of Mormon, Nikki Renée Daniels from Hamilton and Company, and Norm Lewis from Once on This Island, Les Misérables, and The Phantom of the Opera) and Lyric stars (Amanda Castro, who played Anita in Lyric's West Side Story, Jenn Gambatese, who played Maria in West Side Story and Carrie in Carousel, and Jo Lampert and Heath Saunders, who played Mary Magdalene and Jesus, respectively, in Lyric's Jesus Christ Superstar). It's available through the Lyric's Facebook and YouTube channels.
