The Saltmen of Tibet

Ulrike Koch?s 1997 Swiss-German documentary, about a woman Gesar singer reciting a Tibetan epic poem and four men making a three-month journey to the holy salt lakes of northern Tibet, won a Golden Glove at the San Francisco Film Festival. I saw most of it on video last year and found it extremely tedious, despite its ethnographic value; if you're sufficiently interested in the subject matter you might feel differently.
