The talented Mr. Glover Agenda Recommended

When: Fri., Jan. 13 2012

A glut of good cinema (and, frankly, not much else) befalls Chicago this weekend, but it's possible to diversify your cultural intake at the Music Box, where multitalented weird tall dude Crispin Glover will toggle back and forth between introducing films he's directed and reading from books he's written, with illustrations projected onto the big screen behind him. Glover's on hand for It Is Fine. Everything Is Fine! on Friday and What Is It? on Saturday. About the former, which stars Steven C. Stewart as a "wheelchair-bound psycho killer," J.R. Jones wrote that "the core of the movie is something ugly and unadorned, a cry of rage, loneliness, and sexual frustration. See Film section, page 31, for more. —Sam Worley
