Court Theatre presents this digital microtheater event, featuring eight new short plays written by BIPOC women and inspired by events such as the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the Black Lives Matter movement. Originally produced in New York by Octopus Theatricals and created by Christine Jones, the featured playwrights include: Jaclyn Backhaus, Lydia Diamond, Lynn Nottage, Stacey Rose, Nikkole Salter, DeLana Studi, Regina Taylor, and Carmelita Tropicana, with directors including Chris Anthony, Monet Felton, Miranda González of UrbanTheater Company, Lavina Jadhwani, and Taylor. Upon making a reservation, patrons will be assigned one of the plays to watch online, live and in real time, performed by a single actor. Patrons can sign up for more than one slot in order to see multiple plays.
