This Train Recommended New Review (Theater and Comedy) The Short List (Theater) Closing (Theater and Galleries)

When: Thursdays-Saturdays. Continues through Jan. 30 2010

At once a comfortable presence and a compelling raconteur, artist, actor, and performance poet Tony Fitzpatrick can take the most mundane incidents of life--listening to an answering machine, arguing about dog poop with a neighbor--and transform them into poignant tales of urban life. In this show performed with Stan Klein, Fitzpartrick weaves together reminiscences of his working-class childhood, brief portraits of his daily life as an artist in Ukrainian Village, and mini essays on the culture of freight train-riding hobos, punctuating them with brief musical interludes by John Rice and Sally Timms of Mekons fame. --Jack Helbig
