Tiger Shark

Howard Hawks antique from 1932, about a tuna fisherman (Edward G. Robinson) who has his hand bitten off by a shark and his heart chewed up by his wife. The misogynist component in Hawks's work apparently gets a heavy symbolic workout in this outdoor actioner, filmed amid the cannery-row fisheries of Steinbeck's California coast. With Richard Arlen, Zita Johann, and J. Carrol Naish.
