Travelling Cinema

Johnne Eschleman, a filmmaker and musician from Portland, Oregon, has been touring the U.S. with a portable screening room, eight feet high and ten feet square, in which he projects his own Super-8 and 16-millimeter experimental films and accompanies them on guitar. Included on the program: The Distance Formula (1999, 42 min.) and The Vanishing Point (8.5 min.). The Museum of Contemporary Art engagement is presented as part of the “First Fridays” series and lasts four hours; tickets are $14. The Empty Bottle engagements last an hour and are included with the evening's cover charge; no one under 21 will be admitted.
