To the editors:

I have long suspected Reader music writer Bill Wyman to be an insufferable hack, but his National Enquirer style expose on the insider squabble between rock band Urge Overkill and their former label Touch and Go really takes the cake [Hitsville, May 7].

Granted, most Lincoln Park yuppies have an insatiable need to be up on all the inner workings of indie rock land, but what has Wyman really accomplished besides unnecessarily shine bad light on all parties involved and pour more salt in obviously painful sores?

Shame on you Bill! Go back to hyping no-talent Liz Phair and telling us how great ex-Fleetwood Mac Lindsey Buckingham is.

Andrew G.
