Tying up Loose Ends . . . New Review (Theater and Comedy) The Short List (Theater) Closing (Theater and Galleries)

When: Wednesdays. Continues through July 28 2010

Hospice nurse Catherine Gallogly tells ten tales from the front we all face, investing them with enough authenticity to make up for an occasional stiffness in presentation, while her co-author--and daughter--Ann softens the mood by performing appropriate songs. Friends, the show demonstrates, can sweeten life's end, and so can dying where you lived. Particularly poignant is Gallogly's belated apology for the cruelty with which AIDS patients were treated in the early 1980s. Jamie O'Reilly's 70-minute staging hits the right notes--and surprisingly few are in a minor key. --Lawrence Bommer
