To the editors:

NO MORE!! NO MORE!! Why do you insist on printing those photographs under the caption "1000 WORDS"????

They not only lack creativity and substance, but are, to put it bluntly, ugly and amateurish. A photographer with insight, imagination, a sense of light and form can create a profound or whimsical statement that can hit at the heart of his/her audience. But, the ones you choose to print contain none of the above. They are, sad to say, ugly and stupid (alas!). Why bother including this spot if you cannot find talented photographers? I'd rather see it disappear than have to see such poor quality work and subject matter. Sometimes, I even wonder what the subject matter really is . . . ugh!!!
