Pan-Asian dishes, sushi, and robata.
This little sushi and robata bar offers more than your average neighborhood Asian restaurant. There's an uni shooter, and even an uni-and-quail-egg ice cream, but the variety extends to the vegetarian options and pan-Asian noodle and rice dishes. With the vast majority of the offerings from the robata grill priced at under two bucks, you can afford to go wild; the Moo Ping, garlic-marinated pork shoulder, and the bacon-eggplant emerged as our favorites. Namesake uni sushi was a large, velvety mouthful; the Bears maki of salmon, avocado, and sweet potato delivered in a way the team seems unlikely to; and the seasonal soft-shell crab maki was alone worth a visit. If you're looking for uni ice cream, though, call ahead—we were told the kitchen was out.
