Van Wilder 2: The Rise of Taj

This sad excuse for a teen sex comedy is a sequel in name only—Van Wilder, the title character of the original sad excuse, is nowhere to be found. Replacing him is Taj (Kal Penn), a horny Indian who takes a student-teaching position at an august British university and inspires a group of misfits to believe in themselves (and screw everything in sight). This is shocking only for its tepidness; except for some raunchy language, it's ready-made for basic cable. Mort Nathan directed. R, 95 min.
