Under chef Steve Chiappetti (Mango, Rhapsody) Viand has been transformed from a small-plates mecca to a restaurant emphasizing eclectic, globally influenced preparations. "Angry" calamari comes with a curry sauce and harissa; a Mexican plate of grilled shrimp with guacamole made tableside; there's even a corndog made with battered lamb sausage and served with garlic aioli. Service is friendly, and wine is half price on Wednesdays.
