Artemisia Gentileschi's 1620 painting Judith Slaying Holofernes is shockingly graphic. But perhaps more shocking than a depiction of a decapitation is that Gentileschi, a woman, achieved success as a baroque painter in the 17th century. The painting is on loan from a gallery in Italy and is displayed in the exhibit "Violence and Virtue," which runs through 1/9
