City Lit Theater Company presents an online reading version of Kristine Thatcher's play about Barbara Jordan, the first Black woman elected to Congress from the south. Reader critic Sheri Flanders recommended City Lit's full production in January 2019, directed by Terry McCabe, and noted "Andrea Conway-Diaz plays a spirited and headstrong Jordan; moments where she struggles to overcome illness (Jordan had multiple sclerosis for decades) are particularly touching." The original cast reunited for this digital reading.
