Classical music station WFMT is celebrating its 60th birthday with a full day of live jams—er, strings—broadcast from the Chicago Cultural Center's Preston Bradley Hall. Keyboardist David Schrader gets things going at 10 AM; he'll be followed throughout the day by performers including the Lincoln Trio, trumpeter and composer Orbert Davis, Chicago Chamber Musicians, CSO cellist Brant Taylor, and many more. A live version of Exploring Music With Bill McGlaughlin is the day's last event, at 7 PM; it features the Avalon Quartet. —Sam Worley
