What Has the Mayor Done for Us?

Ben Joravsky's most recent article ["Pedaling While Rome Burns," September 28] made my blood boil. I use the Blue Line frequently and am appalled at the condition of this once efficient rapid transit line. I am appalled at the behavior of this city's mayor, who conveniently disappears on globe-hopping vacations in the guise of civic duty. I am appalled at the amount of money being spent on Block 37 and other projects that kowtow to developers. At some point, and I hope it is soon, the citizens of this city need to remove the blinders to better understand that this mayor is only interested in his personal legacy at their expense. Right now, it is like taking candy from a baby.
