Garret Gaston's La Petite Camera cartoon "Papal Makeover" (June 21) is patently offensive to Catholics. I'm not surprised. What would be surprising is Gaston lampooning Jews or blacks in the same vein. While that would also be wrong, one will not see it--yet Catholics are always a target. Interestingly, Gaston's advice to fix the Church's "P.R. problem" has five out of eight cells about sex. The first thing he wants is as much sexual licentiousness as possible. Does this say more about the Church or Gaston's own obsessions?
