Who Is Gabbi Graysküll? Closing (Theater and Galleries) New Review (Theater and Comedy) Recommended The Short List (Theater)

When: Thursdays. Continues through July 31 2014

The press materials for Who Is Gabbi Graysküll?, a concoction of mystery, sketch comedy, and vicious satire at the expense of the art world by new trio the Brendas, also promised some truly magnificent wig work. On the last count, they did not deliver, but they so hilariously and accurately skewer (among many other things) craft shows, performance art, pretentious gallery owners, "found" artwork, cruise-ship galleries, and the current collegiate obsession with privilege that I completely forgive them. Some bits work better than other, but the three talented actors—Becca Levine, John Loos, and Alex Vanover-Miller—appear to be having so much fun transforming themselves into dozens of characters that I forgive them that too. —Aimee Levitt
