This is the first time that I've read an article by your paper that moved me to write to you. Thank you for publishing the article, "Where Vernon Jarrett Is Coming From" [ March 25].

As a black Chicagoan, I feel that Vernon Jarrett is misunderstood by a lot of white Chicagoans. This article gives insight and clarifies why he writes as he does.

I read a number of your articles and have liked them, but this one deserved a letter. Congratulations to whomever wrote or decided to write the article.
