Alfred Santell—best known, if he's remembered at all, for a couple of Shirley Temple vehicles and the 1935 comedy People Will Talk—directs Burgess Meredith, Margo, and Eduardo Ciannelli in this moody 1936 version of Maxwell Anderson's blank-verse melodrama, vaguely based on the Sacco-Vanzetti case, about a man who struggles, years after the fact, to clear his father's name of a criminal charge. 78 min.
