To the Editor:

Re: "The Ballad of Jim and Dannie," Hitsville, by Bill Wyman (October 27).

After reading the above story twice, a few days apart, just to make sure my reaction was the same, I have come to the conclusion that only an exceptional human being, one with compassion and understanding, could present this story in such a manner.

Bill Wyman does not intrude with opinions or judgments--he just presents the facts. Only an honorable, responsible person is capable of this. Thank you, Bill Wyman.
