Angela Jo's comic drama is another entrant in the thriving genre we'll call Twentysomethings Dealing With Stuff. The stuff this time: the death of a parent, a friend who turns shitty, and romantic troubles in bulk. Most of the problems belong to the heroine, Rachel (played by the playwright), who spends her free time hanging out at a video store-cum-coffee shop, interacting with its sitcom-type regulars--a lovable oaf, a no-nonsense den mother, a selfish dimwit, a sassy gay guy, Rachel's doting ex-boyfriend, and her aloof current boyfriend. Rachel's various issues follow a predictable arc from denial to anguish to acceptance. The script's principal asset is the teasing banter of the group scenes, played by a likable cast under Jason Fabiani's direction. --Zac Thompson
